Assignment One

Within their online literacy groups, the students are asked to list out each character in The Lion King. As a group, they must agree on only two characters to analyze and describe the character’s physical and emotional characteristics.

Using the program COGGLE the students will create two separate mind maps for the characters they selected. (Coggle is an excellent online learning tool as multiple students can work on the same map at the same time.) The students will place the character’s name in the middle and the physical and emotional characteristics as the branches. This will create a detailed description of their two selected characters.

Assignment Two

Individually, students are now asked to create another Coggle map with the work ‘Lion King’ in the middle. Students are asked to reflect upon their ideas or emotions they personally experienced during and/or after reading The Lion King.
